Sorry for being such a poor blogger lately! There is a valid reason though : I have just started a new music blog! I will try to get back to this blog too but at the moment I'm concentrating on the new one. Please, please, please check it out! And why not follow it too?! Though all my readers are proper fashionistas I'd love to introduce you to my music style! At the moment I've only done the one post but I have loads more planned out (in great detail) and will publish them once I get a few readers. Hope you like! Thanks! Xxxxx

glamming up for the new year

Happy Christmas! I had a great christmas filled with a-m-a-z-i-n-g food and lots and lots of lovely prezzies! I could go on all day telling you about them all but I've decided to keep it simple by just showing you the fashion and beauty presents!
I got 3 lovely jumpers for my Christmas......

This is the first jumper. (NewLook) I love the cropped style and simple pattern. It is a plain black with white 'splodges'! I've never owned a cropped jumper but I know this one will be well worn!
The second jumper......

I have loved this jumper since I first saw it in the Summer and was sooo happy to receive it on Christmas day! The jumper comes from a very cool London shop called David and Goliath that do great cartoon clothing, amongst other stuff. This hoodie reads 'Come to the dark side, we have cookies!' It definitely has the fun factor and is really comfy too!
The third and final jumper.....

Another New Look jumper but this time with some great colour! This jumper is great and I love the big heart in the centre. It looks great as a sort of jumper-dress too!
This next picture is awful (and back-to-front) but I just had to include it as it was one of my favourite prezzies......a Babyliss styling wand!!! OMG!

I have wanted one of these for aaaages and can't wait to use it again and again and again! If only I could master how to use it.......!!
And finally the make-up......

Wah Nail Art Pen, Barry M limited edition nail effects glitter top-coat, eye palette.
Barry M Glitter Dust (for face and lips), Eye Palette, Lip Gloss Collection

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone!

killing 3 birds with one stone

OK, the title doesn't really make much sense but I've been sitting trying to think of one for ages to no avail so this will have to do! Anyway....hey! A bit of a round-up of the last two days is coming your way with this post-I have a lot to talk about!
Firstly, my manicure of the moment (done for me by a friend of mine) :

Red Calvin Klein nail polish w/black spots and stick-om heart decoration.
This is an awful picture, my hand really isn't that pale and wrinkly, honest! Anyway, with a stunning manicure must come a stunning outfit and so here is todays ('stunning' isn't quite the word, but still....) :

A bit of a rocky, gothic feel for todays outfit. It doesn't really come across in this picture unfortunately though! The top (no idea where it's from) looks multi-coloured but is really just plain black with little white stars - a fave top of mine! I paired this with a plain blue cardi (New Look), shorts (no idea) and VERY sparkly tights (Gap...i think), which again you can't see in this pic! Oh well!
Also I have 2 outfits from the last 2days to show you....outfit number 1:

This outfit was all about mixing pattern and colour. I just picked the most patterned items in my cupboard and hoped they would work together! Turtle-neck-Italy      Jumper-Next     Belt-Next     Scarf -dunno        Trousers-Next

And the 3rd and final outfit.....

This was a pretty average outfit with a modern twist that totally added a new spark of excitement! Woah, that was well cheesy........
Top-Beneton      Jumper-Debenhams       Jeggings-H&M      Socks-dunno
Black and white stripes seem to be all the range at the moment as they are worn by the stunning Amanda (from the band Cover Drive) in her new video for their new song Twilight.

If you can't be bothered with the song, firstly, what is wrong with you, this song is amazing and secondly head to 2:42 as that is where her black and white stripes are featured! This girl has a figure to die for and this dress just highlights it even more! Love it!
Speaking of Twilight.......just noticed how incredible Bella's wedding dress is in it and OMG how did I not notice it before??!! (Probably because I haven't seen the movie.....) It is gorge!!!! (See what I did there...so smoothly from one Twilight to another!)

To cute for words.

Happy Christmas Everyone!

fashionista of 2011 : anna dello russo

The highlights:

This women is magical-she has somehow managed to make all these big colours come together as one AND make a big fashion impression. To think of pairing a bright pink clutch, bright red leggings and statement Prada shoes with a jacket like this is genius! I love the black banding around the jacket as well.

This is a very hip and modern jacket-dress with a statement colour in the piping and stroppy heels that really brighten up the outfit and contrast with the black.  I love the figure of the dress and think her minimalist approach has really worked. Stunning.

I love this jackets mixed texture, pattern and colour. New and completely original. Though the material looks slightly like my curtains at home, she has still managed to pull it off! The belt enhances her figure and adds shape but because of its minimal colour doesn't take anything away from the actual jacket.

Don't think for a moment that Anna can only work with jackets! Oh no, she can style with dresses too! The black brings a fresh feel to gothic style as the ruffles are slightly more girly. Anna obviously loves to match as the boots and sunglasses keep to the limited colour scheme but still give a great impact. I love her earrings here too.

Oh, how it glitters! The pattern is excellent and the coordination of the outfit make her look like a proper working-women! The long trousers that shield her feet really catch your eye. Plus the added excitement of more matching sunglasses.........and more brilliant earrings!

The beautiful material here really adds sheen to the outfit. The dress is cleverly designed and the pastel colours are really on trend. Her heels and clutch are very cute also. No sunglasses this time though, Anna??

Again the jacket and trouser combo - Anna's signature look, it seems. This time it's an eye-popping yellow colour. The use of various shades here really work. The jacket, gloves and trousers are all slightly different colours so as each individual element catches your eye instead of the whole outfit as one.  Another well accessorised outfit too.

Need I even comment? The outfit does the talking-a real fashion statement!
A worthy winner of the title of 'fashionista of the year', are we agreed? Which outfit was your favourite? Please tell me! Xx
